About Katie

Katie Monteleone is a sound artist and experience-maker. With a background spanning podcast production, sound design, immersive theater, yoga, meditation, creative writing, and music, her work is rooted in crafting deeply immersive, introspective experiences that invite presence, connection, and transformation.

Based in Washington, D.C., Katie is a Registered Yoga Teacher and skilled sound bath practitioner. She completed her 200-hour yoga teacher training at Flow Yoga Center in D.C., followed by a 75-hour vinyasa teacher training at the Kripalu School of Yoga in Lenox, Massachusetts. She also trained in sound bath meditation with CeiboSoundz in Nosara, Costa Rica.

Katie’s offerings include vinyasa, yin, and restorative yoga, as well as immersive sound journeys and sound baths. She often weaves live sound elements into her yoga teaching to deepen the experience for participants.

Katie’s sound journey offerings are further shaped by her professional background in audio production and sound design; she is an advanced audio producer at NPR, where she has spent the past decade crafting sound-rich stories for the TED Radio Hour and Body Electric.

In her free time, Katie enjoys running, spending time in nature, and hanging out with her dog, Maple.
